Itinerary Intro
Once the world’s tallest skyscraper from its completion in 2004 until 2010, Taipei 101 stands at a breathtaking 508 meters. Visitors can ride one of the world’s fastest elevators—travelling at up to 1,010 m/min—to the 89th-floor indoor observatory in just 37 seconds. Offering a full 360-degree panoramic view, the Observatory includes the engineering marvel of the 660‑ton tuned mass damper visible to the public. Upgrades include the 91st-floor outdoor terrace and the exclusive “Skyline 460” experience on the 101st floor, with lush mirrored gardens and skyline vistas. Perfect for spectacular sunset and cityscape viewing.

Located on Dihua Street in Taipei’s historic Dadaocheng district, Xiahai City God Temple was established in 1859 by immigrants from Tong’an, Fujian. Though modest in size, the temple is densely packed with deity statues and is best known for its matchmaking deity — the Chinese Cupid (Yue Lao). Tradition holds if his statue stands upright, it signals that he’s actively guiding visitors toward true love, making the temple a popular destination for singles seeking romance. A charming blend of folk belief, temple architecture, and cultural legacy

Dihua Street in Taipei’s historic Dadaocheng district is the city’s oldest commercial thoroughfare, tracing its roots back to the mid-19th century when it served as Taiwan’s hub for tea, herbal medicine, and fabrics. The street is lined with century-old architecture blending Fujian-style, Baroque revival, and Japanese colonial elements—making it a living museum of Taiwanese architecture.
Today, Dihua Street thrives with traditional herb shops, fabric wholesalers, food stores, and modern cafés, craft boutiques, and galleries. Highlights include Yongle Market, Xiahai City God Temple, and nearby Dadaocheng Wharf with its container market. It’s the perfect destination for travelers seeking “Taipei heritage shopping” and “cultural tea‑and‑fabric tours” in a revitalized historic setting.

oused on the 8th and 9th floors of Yongle Market in Dadaocheng, Dadaocheng Theatre is run by the Taipei City Arts Promotion Office and serves as a vibrant hub for traditional Chinese opera. The venue features regular puppet‑opera exhibitions on the 8th floor and a 506‑seat theatre on the 9th floor hosting Gua‑xi opera, Beijing opera, Song music, and other traditional performances. Ideal for visitors seeking a “living cultural heritage” experience in the heart of historic Taipei.

Located at Dadaocheng Wharf along the Tamsui River, the Container Market consists of colorful repurposed shipping containers housing diverse food and drink stalls. Visitors can enjoy a mix of Taiwanese street snacks and international cuisine, craft beers, and artisan coffee. The rooftop seating provides panoramic river views and sunset silhouettes, while live music and pop‑ups add to the festive atmosphere. This riverside market is a perfect blend of “urban dining,” “waterfront leisure,” and “highly photogenic vibes.”
