Itinerary Intro

Cona’s Chocolate Dream Castle in Puli is a rococo-style chocolate factory and photogenic castle straight out of a fairytale. Visitors explore light shows, interactive chocolate history walls, live guided chocolate making, and craft ultra-thin 0.35 mm chocolate in DIY sessions. Guests can dress up as princes or princesses for magical photo moments—making it ideal for families, couples, and Instagram lovers.

The Blue Castle x Juno French Desserts in Puli is a visually striking European-style café, complete with a bold blue-and-yellow façade reminiscent of a fairytale castle. Crafted by the renowned Montanie pastry brand from Cingjing, the café offers artistic French desserts, handmade breads, brunch platters, and fine coffee. The high-ceilinged interior, lavish chandeliers, and plush seating create a regal ambiance—perfect for lingering over tea. With a minimal spend requirement of just one beverage, you can unwind here at your pace.

Puli Winery in central Taiwan, established in 1911, is known as the birthplace of Shaoxing wine. Now operating as a popular tourist destination, it features a free-entry Wine Culture Hall, showcasing historical brewing tools and vessels, along with a dramatic wine jar tunnel filled with the aroma of aged wine. Visitors can sample unique local delicacies like Shaoxing sausage, wine-infused popsicles, wine eggs, and rice cakes, and browse specialty souvenir bottles—making it a cultural, culinary, and retail hotspot.

The Paper Dome, originally built by architect Shigeru Ban after the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake in Japan, was relocated to Puli’s Taomi Ecovillage in 2005. Anchored by 58 robust cardboard tubes, the chapel—wrapped in fiberglass and translucent sheeting—radiates an ethereal glow when sunlight filters through. It stands as an arresting symbol of eco‑friendly architecture, resilience, and community healing. The surrounding ecological garden, butterfly trail, art installations, and café offer visitors a serene cultural experience enriched by purpose.

Founded in 1965, Guangxing Paper Mill in Puli is one of Taiwan's last three handmade paper factories and the only one open to the public. It preserves the full artisanal process—from steaming and pulping to pressing and drying—done entirely by skilled craftsmen. Guided tours and hands-on workshops (like papermaking, fan crafting, and print transfers) bring the craft alive. Even tastings of edible “plant‑fiber paper” offer a delightfully creative, educational encounter.
