Itinerary Intro

Nestled in the Qingshui Valley of Yilan’s Datong Township, Qingshui Geothermal Park stands on the site of Taiwan's first geothermal power plant. With alkaline spring water reaching temperatures up to 95 °C, the park offers cooking pools, foot-soaking areas, an on-site hot spring pavilion, and an interpretive education center. It’s a unique destination where visitors can cook food using geothermal heat, soak their feet in warm spring water, and learn about the natural environment—ideal for family bonding and leisurely exploration.

Tiansongpi Forest Railway Cultural Park, nestled in Sanxing, Yilan, retains one of Taiwan’s last wooden station buildings from the logging railway era. Once featured in popular dramas like In Time with You, the site blends nostalgia with creativity: guests can explore the vintage station architecture, enjoy coffee and baked goods in themed cafés, ride a retro-style miniature train, snap photos with the "Happiness Train," or take on thrilling canopy rope courses such as “Logging Starry Sky.” It’s where heritage meets hands-on fun.

The Sanxing Scallion Cultural Museum, housed in a repurposed grain warehouse, celebrates local icons like scallions, garlic, willow, and pears. Free to enter, the museum offers educational displays, manga-style stories, and interactive exhibits such as a mock scallion harvesting experience. Visitors can also browse the adjoining shop featuring scallion-themed souvenirs—onion pancakes, pies, sauces—and even scallion ice cream. With rest areas and a children’s play zone, it’s perfect for families looking to explore, taste, and shop.

Zhang‑Mei Grandma’s Farm, located in Sanxing Township, Yilan, is a charming, small-scale petting farm ideal for families and couples. Visitors can feed and interact with adorable animals—from deer, capybaras, alpacas, and miniature kangaroos, to newer residents like sloths and Highland cattle. The farm features a Japanese-style garden and torii gate setting, complete with kimono rentals for photo ops. Add in hands-on DIY sessions—such as scallion pancake making, three-color taro ball crafting, or bamboo rice—and even organic vegetable picking, and you have a fulfilling blend of nature-based fun, cultural experience, and Insta-worthy moments.

Situated around Zhongshan Park in Luodong, Yilan, Luodong Night Market is one of the most vibrant and beloved nocturnal food destinations in the region. Open nightly from approximately 3 PM to midnight, the market showcases a rich variety of local specialties—from dong-gui mutton soup and deep-fried pork bites to scallion cakes, peanut ice cream rolls, and stuffed tapioca balls. It’s a perfect stop to experience “authentic Taiwanese night market dining” and regional street food flair.
