Itinerary Intro
Nestled in the hills above Wushi Harbor, JiouCheng Castle Café—run by Mr. Brown Coffee—is a budget-friendly castle-style café offering panoramic views of Turtle Island, Lanyang Plain, and Wushi Harbor. With two branches, the main café features a striking windmill facade, while the second offers a quieter ambiance. Both include rooftop viewing platforms, and low minimum orders make them an ideal choice for relaxing afternoons. Perfectly paired with nearby Lanyang Museum, Toucheng Old Street, or whale-watching at Wushi.

Wushi Harbor in Toucheng, Yilan was once the region’s primary seaport during early settlement days, named after the three distinctive black rocks in the harbor. Today, the old harbor area has been restored as a wetland conservation zone, while the new harbor functions as a bustling tourist fishery port. Visitors can sample fresh seafood at the harbor’s direct-sale market, take whale-watching boat tours, or stroll the seafront soaking in classic harbor views. A perfect mix of “Toucheng harbor culture” and “Yilan coastal adventure.”

Zhang‑Mei Grandma’s Farm, located in Sanxing Township, Yilan, is a charming, small-scale petting farm ideal for families and couples. Visitors can feed and interact with adorable animals—from deer, capybaras, alpacas, and miniature kangaroos, to newer residents like sloths and Highland cattle. The farm features a Japanese-style garden and torii gate setting, complete with kimono rentals for photo ops. Add in hands-on DIY sessions—such as scallion pancake making, three-color taro ball crafting, or bamboo rice—and even organic vegetable picking, and you have a fulfilling blend of nature-based fun, cultural experience, and Insta-worthy moments.

Situated around Zhongshan Park in Luodong, Yilan, Luodong Night Market is one of the most vibrant and beloved nocturnal food destinations in the region. Open nightly from approximately 3 PM to midnight, the market showcases a rich variety of local specialties—from dong-gui mutton soup and deep-fried pork bites to scallion cakes, peanut ice cream rolls, and stuffed tapioca balls. It’s a perfect stop to experience “authentic Taiwanese night market dining” and regional street food flair.
