Itinerary Intro

Private Day Tour from Taichung HSR to Sun Moon Lake|Flexible Vehicle Options & Honest Pricing

A|

Shuishe Wharf is the primary boarding point for boat tours on Sun Moon Lake, located beside a bustling hub of hotels, cafes, and shops. Surrounded by lush mountains, it opens to tranquil waters and scenic walking trails like the nearby Hanbi Trail. Morning mist, spectacular sunsets, or a peaceful lakeside stroll—this pier offers a poetic entry into exploring Taiwan’s largest alpine lake. A convenient and atmospheric first stop.

Perched on a hillside overlooking Sun Moon Lake’s north side, Wenwu Temple blends majesty with spiritual depth. Formed in 1938 by merging the former Longfeng Temple and Yihua Hall, it showcases Northern Chinese architectural style and consists of three main halls: the front "Wenyun Hall" honoring the God of Literature, the middle "Wusheng Hall" for Lord Guan and General Yue Fei, and the rear "Dacheng Hall" for Confucius—the only Confucius temple in Taiwan featuring a central entrance. Its red guardian lions stand as iconic sentinels. The temple's terrace grants sweeping lake views—mesmerizing under a crisp blue sky or mist‑shrouded at dawn. Beyond, the "Year‑Stair Path" with its 366 steps symbolizes the days of the year and features 24 solar terms and wish‑ribbons—inviting quiet reflection and cultural discovery.

Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, located near Sun Moon Lake, spans approximately 62 hectares and uniquely combines traditional Indigenous cultural exhibits with amusement park attractions. It features distinct areas such as Indigenous Villages, a European Palace Garden full of seasonal blossoms, and Thrill World with rides like Caribbean Splash water coaster, UFO free-fall, and a Mayan roller coaster. A highlight is the aerial cable car linking the park to Sun Moon Lake, offering panoramic "land, sea, and air" views—making it an iconic multi-sensory destination for families and culture enthusiasts.

C|

The Paper Dome, originally built by architect Shigeru Ban after the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake in Japan, was relocated to Puli’s Taomi Ecovillage in 2005. Anchored by 58 robust cardboard tubes, the chapel—wrapped in fiberglass and translucent sheeting—radiates an ethereal glow when sunlight filters through. It stands as an arresting symbol of eco‑friendly architecture, resilience, and community healing. The surrounding ecological garden, butterfly trail, art installations, and café offer visitors a serene cultural experience enriched by purpose.

D|

Situated in Ren’ai Township, Nantou County, at roughly 1,750 meters elevation, Cingjing Farm is a beloved high‑mountain retreat in central Taiwan. Known as “Taiwan’s Alps,” the farm features vast grasslands, sheep performances, the Skywalk aerial walkway, and European‑style gardens—making it a top destination for families, couples, and nature lovers.
